Lucid Chess — blindfold chess & visualization training

Lucid is a cognitive-discipline platform built on chess. It trains the ability to see the board without seeing the board: progressively removing the visual board so you reconstruct the position in your head, hold move sequences in memory, place coordinates precisely, and evaluate without looking.

Start with a Daily Blind position — study it, watch the board disappear, then keep playing from memory. As your visualization strengthens, Lucid removes more of the crutch: notation-only play, blind tactics, and full blindfold games against graded bots. Your Blind Rating measures visualization skill specifically, kept deliberately independent of your regular chess rating.
